Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and passionate Social Studies Teacher to join our middle school team. As a Social Studies Teacher at BSNBCS, you will have the opportunity to inspire and educate our students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging and rigorous Social Studies curriculum that meets and exceeds Common Core standards
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assist with preparing students for New York State exams
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to refine teaching skills and stay current with best practices
  • Contribute to the development of a culture of excitement about learning and a love of Social Studies among our students
Requirements
  • Valid and current New York State Teacher Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • At least 2+ years of classroom teaching experience, preferably in an urban school
  • Ability to clear a fingerprint background check
