Network Infrastructure Engineer

ADEX is seeking a skilled Network Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing telco network solutions used to provide FTI services.
About the Job:The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications engineering, with experience in designing and implementing telco network solutions. You will work closely with our internal teams to ensure that our solutions meet the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate telco designs in relation to critical infrastructure and service needs for the FTI network.
- Design and implement modern telco services to replace legacy copper-based telco solutions.
- Work with cross-functional teams to develop and implement solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Participate in after-action reviews to resolve technical challenges.
- Develop and maintain documentation for engineering and NOC teams.
- Identify areas of opportunity for automation and network optimization.
- Manage the Telco design release workflow to meet implementation schedules.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent 4-year accredited degree in a technical discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior WAN Telecommunications networks experience.
- Highly motivated and capable of developing and following detailed instructions and action plans.
- Ability to work in a team environment and self-directed/self-motivated.
- Project management skills capable of adhering to deadlines and completing tasks per project schedule.
- Strong skill set with Microsoft Office software applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of engineering drawings and technical procedures.
- Domain knowledge of the Telecommunications industry, including carrier services, provisioning terminology, CISCO routers, and network infrastructure.
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance security clearance.
- Experience designing and implementing network technologies such as SONET, Carrier Ethernet, LTE, etc.
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to design, implement, and support Ethernet and TDM network infrastructures.
- Knowledge of IP technologies such as Pseudo Wire and Ethernet switching.
- Knowledge of telecommunications carrier ordering systems and processes.
- Knowledge of WAN/LAN, TDM, and Voice switching systems; TCP/IP, specific routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and RIP; VoIP, DWDM, CTI, and VPN technologies.
- Experience with leading network vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, RAD.
- Experience with database modeling software such as MetaSolv.
$120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on location and experience.
