We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Director to join our team at Lincoln Financial Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the actuarial functions and contributing to the development of our actuarial strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the actuarial governance, rate setting, and risk management functions to ensure accurate and timely decision-making.
- Contribute to the development of our actuarial strategy, identifying trends, issues, and opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Anticipate and provide solutions to complex actuarial problems, leveraging your expertise and experience to drive business results.
- Direct actuarial projects with broad impact to the enterprise, delegating work and providing guidance and support to employees.
- Partner with various levels of management and stakeholders to generate high-quality decisions and drive business outcomes.
- Provide guidance on the structure of actuarial models and assumption development, ensuring a balance between precision and timeliness.
- Monitor industry developments and translate this information into business solutions that drive growth and improvement.
- Lead the research, design, and implementation of actuarial modeling techniques and tools to support current and future business needs.
- Direct and enhance organizational initiatives, positively influencing and supporting change management and departmental/enterprise initiatives.
- Identify and direct strategic process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the team, department, and business unit.
- Provide subject matter expertise to team members and internal/external stakeholders on complex assignments and projects.
- Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in their development.
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to continually improve the capability and results of the team.
- Direct and execute approved strategy decisions and contribute to strategy creation.
- Ensure that top talent is hired and retained, contributing to the growth and success of the organization.
- 4-year Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in actuarial science, with 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience, including influencing senior management and critical stakeholders.
- Upon hire, certifications/licensures: FSA designation or ASA designation with additional years of actuarial experience.
- Nice-to-haves: 2+ years of experience in Retirement Plan Services.

The pay range for this position is $140,701 - $256,200, with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors, including work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency, and qualifications required for the role.
