Job Summary:

Veolia is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for operating heavy equipment such as front-end loaders, excavators, and tractor-trailers to manage the movement of materials for processing and disposal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy equipment to receive, sample, label, process, and place hazardous and non-hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mix and process hazardous and non-hazardous materials to ensure compliance with specifications for disposal.
  • Sample and receive drums according to profiles to determine accuracy of identification labeling and route to lab for analytical testing.
  • Utilize batch sheets to manage the movement of material for processing.
  • Perform required maintenance, inspections, and small repairs on equipment.
  • Move empty containers to recycling trailer or drum roll-off for disposal.
  • Act as Emergency Coordinators as requested.

Requirements:

  • Must be clean-shaven.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a physically demanding environment.

Working Conditions:

This is a second-shift position, working Monday to Friday from 3:00 p.m. to Midnight.
