This role is part of the United States Space Force's Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities, supporting the Air Force and Space Force. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the library team, ensuring the smooth operation of library services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Shelve books, magazines, and other library materials, ensuring they are organized and easily accessible.
  • Review the library collection to ensure materials are maintained in correct order and condition.
  • Process new, rebound, and reconditioned library materials for circulation and reference.
  • Assist with annual inventory of the collection and automated circulation duties.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and assisting users in locating books and information.
  • Perform routine clerical tasks, such as answering the telephone and taking messages.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating library statistics and filing.
  • Support office account duties as needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Experience in responsible clerical or office work, demonstrating the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 40 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Working Conditions

This position requires the incumbent to complete a background investigation with favorable results and successfully complete a physical examination.
