Job Summary

This position will be assigned to the 22nd Force Support Squadron, NAF Human Resources Office, McConnell AFB, KS. The successful candidate will assist in providing recruitment and placement services to NAF activities by procedurally processing a full range of personnel actions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize automated recruitment tools to build and edit user accounts, generate vacancies for job announcements, and enter applicable position and organizational data for vacancy.
  • Verify applicant eligibilities in accordance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures, and produce applicant lists for selecting officials.
  • Perform onboarding tasks, initiate and monitor local installation records checks, and monitor the status of background investigations.
  • Conduct in-processing briefings and assist in the completion of employment documents.
  • Enter classified position descriptions into automated libraries, verify signatures on position descriptions, and upload supporting documents into the position description casefile/record.
  • Locate position descriptions in the library, route non-routine classification requests to appropriate points of contact, and enter personnel data into automated personnel data systems.
  • Complete applicant and position builds using data provided, verify documentation for personnel action, code personnel actions in accordance with applicable policies and procedures, and process a variety of personnel requests and actions.
  • Generate personnel reports, identify and correct discrepancies in personnel data, and provide an overview of employee benefits and personnel matters.
  • Submit benefit action requests for processing, perform front desk responsibilities, provide customer service assistance to customers, and make copies, scans documents, upload and file documents.
  • Distribute copies of personnel actions, provide general information regarding position vacancies, application procedures, and operate a computer remote terminal and word processing equipment.
  • Receive and check documents for completion and accuracy in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, contact appropriate sources to secure missing data or documents, and prepare in-processing documents.
  • Create and maintain Official Personnel Folders, position control registers, office files, group insurance files, and requisition forms and post changes to directives.
  • Assist applicants with system errors when applying for vacancies, elevate complex system issues to senior HR staff, and prepare and submit payroll transmittals.
Requirements
  • Must meet the experience requirements described below.
  • Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs and other organizations.
  • Qualifying experience includes experience performing clerical work and providing customer service to internal and external customers, applying rules, regulations, and procedures in accomplishment of clerical/administrative work, and utilizing office automation software.

  • Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD).
