Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to contribute to the enhancement of space launch facilities, ensuring mission objectives are met while providing essential range capabilities. This role is integral to the Assured Access to Space (AATS) initiative, focusing on system upgrades and digital transformation efforts aimed at increasing the frequency of space launches and shaping the future of spaceports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist software development teams in implementing DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Develop innovative solutions for Test Automation.
  • Engage in the preparation and execution of detailed subsystem and enterprise-level testing plans and procedures.
  • Facilitate system and element-level test planning and readiness evaluations.
  • Record test specifications and verification strategies within the requirements management system.
  • Contribute to the formulation of system integration plans, procedures, and scenarios for software and hardware testing.
  • Assess project technical risks and identify mitigation strategies and opportunities.

Qualifications

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience; a master's degree with seven (7) years of experience; or a PhD with four (4) years of experience.

Professional Experience:

  • Proficiency or experience with Agile development frameworks, such as Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe.
  • Experience in interfacing with and presenting to government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with government policies, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience utilizing requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
  • Experience with discrepancy management tools, such as Jira.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment environments and tools, including Bamboo.
  • Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.
