Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

L3Harris is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling precision electro-optical semiconductor components, welding, and soldering under levels of optical magnification. You will also be responsible for following standard practices and procedures to operate leaded equipment.

About the Role:

In this role, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a team of experienced professionals. You will be responsible for assembling complex components, verifying their quality, and ensuring they meet the required standards. You will also be required to follow industry-standard practices and procedures to operate leaded equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble precision electro-optical semiconductor components
  • Weld and solder components under levels of optical magnification
  • Follow standard practices and procedures to operate leaded equipment
  • Verify the quality of assembled components
  • Assist in guiding peers in completing daily tasks


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience
  • Must be a United States Citizen


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 years or more experience in proficient computer skills, including ability to navigate email and Microsoft office
  • 2 years or more experience in reading and following drawings and work instructions
  • 2 years or more experience with the use of basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, plyers, wire strippers, etc.
  • 2 years or more experience in using a microscope for long periods of time
  • 2 years or more experience in spraying coating on PWBs
