Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool team at HCA Florida Northside Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care level patients.
  • Provide comprehensive patient education and instructions on medications and treatment plans.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including test results and examination findings.
  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and ensure accurate documentation.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Florida Registered Nurse, with compact licensure accepted if applicable.
  • Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
  • Previous experience in an acute care setting is highly desirable.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is mandatory.
  • Current American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification is required within six months of hire.
  • Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification is required within six months of hire.
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.
