Position Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Environmental Engineer to become part of our dynamic team at YU & Associates. This role will be based in our Northern New Jersey office and will involve a diverse range of responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct soil and groundwater sampling.
- Perform field inspections and assist in the design of solid waste management facilities.
- Provide modeling services and oversee subcontractors.
- Coordinate various projects to ensure timely completion.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual eager to grow professionally. You should excel at merging innovative thinking with practical design approaches to tackle complex environmental challenges.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering is required.
- OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER training is preferred.
- E.I.T. certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Familiarity with solid waste projects and knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations is advantageous.
- Strong technical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Capability to engage with clients and regulatory bodies effectively.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a personal vehicle.
