Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at Wellstar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures, including CT scans, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT scans and other diagnostic imaging procedures to obtain high-quality images for radiologists to interpret.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining the purpose and nature of the exam, positioning patients, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Operate CT scanners and other equipment to produce high-quality images, while maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and timely diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure that imaging procedures are performed to the highest standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies and techniques, and participate in ongoing education and training to maintain expertise.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in radiology, with preference given to those with experience in CT.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time, and maintain a high level of productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • BLS Instructor certification.
  • Provisional BLS certification.
  • Experience in CT, with a strong understanding of anatomy and pathology.
  • Ability to operate all workstations associated with the CT department.
