Donation Attendant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Donation Attendant to join our Retail Team at The Salvation Army. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized donation area, assisting donors, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.

• Maintain a clean and organized donation area, including the trailer/pod and surrounding areas
• Assist donors in the receipt of donated items and provide receipts
• Separate and sort donated materials into proper containers and stack materials as instructed
• Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations onto trucks as needed
• Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out
• Secure and lock the donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift

• High School diploma/GED preferred
• Ability to read and write and understand and follow both written and verbal instructions
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors
• Physical ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis
• Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs
• Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks

Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employee must be flexible to always ensure adequate store coverage.
