Chiller Mechanic Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute contract maintenance visits, inspections, site assessments, and service requests for commercial, industrial, and institutional clients.
  • Recommend necessary upgrades or repairs to prolong the equipment life cycle of our customers' equipment.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers through effective communication skills.
  • Provide quote estimates for labor and material repairs and upgrades as needed.
  • Represent the company as the direct customer contact and be responsible for servicing products and equipment on assigned projects.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years' experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional markets with all types of chillers, various compressor technologies, chiller control systems, and speed drives.
  • Knowledge of maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and rebuilds of medium-large tonnage chillers of all brands.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computers.
  • Appropriate licenses to work with refrigerant, boiler, and steam operational and service knowledge.
  • Ability to work on-call nights and weekends on a schedule-rotating basis.
