We are seeking a highly skilled Process Improvement Specialist to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. Key Responsibilities- Process Development and Optimization: Develop, implement, and optimize cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Equipment Installation and Commissioning: Install and commission new equipment to ensure seamless integration into our production processes.
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs): Develop and/or update SOPs for manufacturing processes to ensure consistency and quality.
- Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Identify and correct problems through the use of root cause problem-solving skills and experimental approaches such as DOE, 5 Y, 8D, fishbone diagram, and FMEA.
- Visual Factory Management: Implement visual factory management principles to improve process visibility and efficiency.
- Vendor Interface: Interface with various wire and cable industry vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Process Improvement and Cost Savings: Focus on process improvement and cost savings projects to drive business growth and profitability.
- Automated Set-Up Sheet Process: Automate the set-up sheet process to improve efficiency and reduce errors.
- Education and Experience: Minimum BS in Engineering, 2 years' experience in wire & cable manufacturing in lieu of education, or 5 years' experience in other manufacturing environment.
- Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and CAD software.
- LEAN Manufacturing Knowledge: Basic understanding of FMEA, Control Plans, Value Stream Mapping, and SPC.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Self-Starter: Self-starter with the ability to effectively utilize existing resources to solve problems and implement change.
