Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Retail Merchandise Coordinator to join our team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to provide an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Merchandise Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
  • Team Collaboration: Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles, and communicate effectively with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
  • Productivity and Efficiency: Monitor productivity of the team and coach as necessary, and ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensure all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area are met.
  • Customer Service: Engage and interact with all customers, and provide exceptional customer service by responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 1 year retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
  • Skills and Abilities: Superior communication and organizational skills, capable of multi-tasking, and able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Physical Demands: Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
