Director of Nursing Job Description

**About the Role**

Ontario Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality nursing care to our residents.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Supervise and manage a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of excellent patient care
* Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Oversee the hiring and training of nursing staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care
* Ensure that nursing staff are adequately trained and equipped to meet the needs of our residents
* Oversee the conduct of nursing staff and ensure that they are held accountable for their actions
* Stay up-to-date with incidents and events at the facility and take appropriate action to ensure resident safety
* Assess the health needs of each resident and develop individualized care plans

**Requirements**

* Current State RN license required
* Minimum 5 years of experience in long-term care
* Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience
* Evidence of strong leadership and supervision skills
