Role OverviewThe Packaging Technician is essential to the efficient production of our beverages. This role requires a commitment to integrity and quality at every stage of the production line, ensuring that we deliver only the finest products to our customers.
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift, Full Time, 40 hours per week
The ideal candidate will possess strong skills, demonstrate reliability, and thrive in a collaborative environment with like-minded professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with the setup, disassembly, and sanitation of bottling lines during production days.
- Rotate through various positions on the packaging lines throughout the shift.
- Ensure that products at your station meet quality standards (secure caps, appropriate liquid levels, aligned labels, and stable boxes).
- Prepare and clean kegs as necessary.
- Conduct daily cleaning and setup in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Perform case flavor mixing as required.
- Engage in thorough cleaning or special projects as needed.
- Adhere to GMP policies while in the production area and promote compliance among team members.
- Familiarize yourself with SQF policies concerning pest control, visitor management, allergen handling, and sanitation practices.
- Exhibit awareness of management's commitment to SQF and contribute to food safety and quality initiatives.
- Report any food quality or safety issues to the Quality Assurance Manager to ensure proper investigation and resolution, aiming for continuous improvement.
- Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Heightened awareness of safety protocols and potential hazards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with a team to meet production targets.
- Positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to work occasional 10-hour shifts.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Unpaid 30-minute lunch break; two paid 15-minute breaks.
- Workspaces may be crowded with manufacturing equipment; awareness of forklift traffic is essential.
- Work environment can be noisy and dusty, with potential temperature extremes.
- Physical demands include standing, walking, pushing, pulling, stooping, or lifting throughout the shift, with occasional walking on uneven or slippery surfaces.
- Responsibilities may involve lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment or materials, with the ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance.
