Dining Services Director

About the Role:

The Dining Services Manager will oversee the daily operations of Coherent Cafe, ensuring exceptional customer service and quality food. This position requires a strong leader with previous cafe management experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of food service professionals to deliver top-notch service in the main dining room and special functions.
  • Assist with profit and loss analysis and budgeting for the account.
  • Collaborate with the Chef and management team to create menus and provide high-quality food.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment, adhering to sanitation and infection control standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the culinary department to ensure food programs reflect the company's vision.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of food service management experience.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Waited table and catering experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and catering trends, including quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.
