We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Maternity Services team at Eastern Connecticut Health Network. As a Maternity Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient-centered care to our expectant mothers and their newborns.
Key Responsibilities- Perform comprehensive assessments and re-assessments of maternal and newborn condition and care needs
- Develop and revise individualized plans of care based on assessment and patient response to treatment
- Provide education to patients and families regarding pain management and other aspects of care
- Document the nursing process and responses to care in a timely manner
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care and promote positive patient outcomes
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- Current licensure in the state of Connecticut
- Certification in ACLS, NRP, and Basic Cardiac Life Support
- Electric Fetal Monitoring Certification
- Labor and delivery experience preferred
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
- Knowledge of fetal monitoring and ability to identify FHR patterns
