Job Summary

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Neurosurgery team. As a Staff Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including communication with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to take an active role in their care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of evidence-based practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • One year of nursing experience in a healthcare environment.
  • RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure within 60 days.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (AHA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a neurosurgery or critical care setting.
  • Strong assessment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
