About the Role

The LPN will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to inmates in a correctional facility setting. This includes performing health screenings and physical examinations, triaging, assessing, and treating chronic, acute, psychological, and medical needs during incarceration.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Responsibilities
  • Health Screenings and Physical Examinations: Perform comprehensive health screenings and physical examinations to identify potential health issues and develop personalized care plans.
  • Triage and Assessment: Assess and triage patients' conditions, provide treatment as needed, and refer patients to medical staff for further evaluation or intervention.
  • Mental Health Care: Assess and provide mental health care services, including patient assessments/evaluations, to ensure the overall well-being of inmates.
  • Medication Administration: Administer medications, wound care, and other personalized interventions as directed by medical staff to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Emergency Response: Serve as a first responder in emergency and crisis situations, providing immediate care and support to patients in need.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Oklahoma and have a valid license in good standing.
  • Experience: 1+ year of relevant LPN experience, preferably in a correctional facility or similar healthcare setting.
  • Credentials: Graduation from an accredited educational institution and current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
