We are seeking a dedicated Education Instructor to join our team at The GEO Group, a leading provider of correctional and community reintegration programs.

Job Description:

As an Academic Instructor with us, you will be responsible for teaching diverse students in a classroom environment, providing adult basic education, English language development, special education, and basic subjects including reading, mathematics, and language arts. Your role will require you to:

  • Teach career planning, social adjustment, and general life skills courses.
  • Instruct conversational English, as well as local customs to students with limited English proficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress, testing, attendance, and daily inmate/detainee work.
  • Evaluate and ensure academic progress of inmates/deteness.
  • Provide individualized tutoring to support students' learning needs.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • At least two years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in a correctional setting.
  • A valid teaching certificate from the state Department of Education or comparable authority.
  • A current, valid state driver's license (Oklahoma State Requirement).

We offer a competitive salary range of $45,000-$65,000 per year, based on qualifications and experience. This is a full-time position with opportunities for professional growth and development within our organization.
