American Family Care (AFC) stands as one of the largest providers of primary and urgent care services in the United States, operating seven days a week on a walk-in basis. Our advanced facilities are dedicated to the episodic treatment of acute illnesses and injuries, workers' compensation, and occupational health services. Each center is equipped with an onsite laboratory and in-house x-ray capabilities.

AFC is the parent organization of AFC Franchising, LLC (AFCF). This role directly interacts with a franchised business location, and specific job responsibilities and benefits may differ between franchises.

Job Summary

Conduct radiographic and various diagnostic imaging procedures to aid physicians in identifying injuries and diseases. Assist with both administrative and clinical tasks as needed, including patient registration and medical assisting duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and clearly explain procedures in a compassionate manner
  • Position patients correctly for diagnostic imaging procedures
  • Implement ALARA radiation safety practices
  • Process images, ensuring proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for physician review as well as radiologist overreads
  • Utilize both digital and analog diagnostic imaging equipment, adhering to approved radiology techniques and all relevant policies and procedures
  • Assist healthcare providers with prescribed patient treatments according to established standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
  • Perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and coordinate repairs as necessary
  • Complete documentation and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
  • Serve as a Medical Receptionist and/or Medical Assistant as needed within appropriate guidelines
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRT registration, BLS certification, and a Diagnostic Radiography license are required.

Compensation: $40.00 per hour
