Job Title: Lifeguard

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified lifeguard to join our team at Sul Ross State University. As a lifeguard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of our students, faculty, and staff while they are using our aquatic facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide emergency response and rescue services as needed
  • Conduct regular safety inspections of the aquatic facilities
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations
  • Participate in regular training and in-service sessions
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all users

Requirements:

  • Current lifeguarding certification
  • First aid and CPR certification
  • Leadership and public relation skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a aquatic facility
  • Knowledge of lifeguarding surveillance and rescue techniques
  • Ability to swim and participate in water activities
