Job Summary

Food Lion is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Produce Sales Associate to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining high standards of product quality, and driving sales growth in the Produce Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate customer service to create a positive shopping experience
  • Maintain a clean and organized Produce Department, adhering to company standards and guidelines
  • Unload trucks, receive, prepare, condition, and display merchandise in accordance with policies and guidelines
  • Use company tools, such as ACIS and CAO, to manage inventory and ordering
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as Food Lion's safety and quality standards
  • Wear the Food Lion uniform and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on duty
  • Successfully complete Computer-Based Training (CBT) and other required courses
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job
  • Ability to use technical information to solve problems
  • Meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions
  • Meet physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations
Working Conditions

Food Lion provides a safe and inclusive work environment. You will be required to stand for long periods, frequently walk short distances, and perform repetitive hand and arm motions. You will also be exposed to various substances associated with cleaning and packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
