Job Summary

The Sanitation Technician is a key member of our team at Daybreak Foods, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in our egg processing equipment. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Disassemble, clean, sanitize, and reassemble processing equipment on a daily basis
  • Work with chemicals, high-pressure cleaning equipment, manual scrubbing, and simple mechanical tools
  • Maintain training on the correct use of equipment, chemicals, and their MSDS's
  • Review sanitation chemicals with the supervisor, including use, mixing, and appropriateness
  • Record keeping and paperwork
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
  • Maintain equipment and keep it in good repair
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous food plant sanitation experience (highly desirable)
  • Training for egg-specific equipment (provided)
  • Familiarity with GMP's or equivalent practices (highly desirable)
Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Standing and walking constantly
  • Grip, grasp, push, pull, reach, bend, stoop, lift up to 10 pounds frequently
  • Sit, climb, lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
Work Environment

You will be working in a food manufacturing environment with:

  • Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals
  • Regulated temperature
  • Occasional cooler temperatures in specific areas
  • Moderate noise level

Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions. Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) due to working in a food manufacturing environment.
