Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Mass General Brigham. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures in assigned areas, utilizing your technical expertise to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic procedures, including transporting, transferring, immobilizing, and positioning patients.
  • Calculate and select proper technical factors, operate equipment, and acquire and process images.
  • Provide radiation protection and assist physicians in administering contrast media.
  • Instruct and advise Radiologic Technology students in performing radiologic exams and sterile technique.
  • Assist in research and Quality Improvement projects.
  • Use radiology information systems and hospital information systems to maintain patient data and perform image services.
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of assigned areas.
  • Rotate within department divisions and off-site clinics as required.
  • Explain exams to patients and maintain ethical standards.
  • Attend staff meetings, in-services, and maintain CEUs.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • Valid Massachusetts license as a Radiologic Technologist in the category of Radiography.
  • Registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or equivalent years of experience.
Working Conditions
  • Must be prepared to work overtime, holidays, and weekends as needed.
  • Works in a large open area in radiology, which is noisy and has extreme temperature and humidity variations.
  • Minimal exposure to ionizing radiation when using proper safety procedures.
  • Continuous standing and lifting.
  • Exposure to human waste and disease.
  • Considerable stress from dealing with a wide variety of hospital staff, patients, and families.
