**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Eastridge Christian Assembly. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and care to our preschool and toddler students.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement a developmentally age-appropriate curriculum using our Teaching Beyond Paper resources and outline given by the Teacher Supervisor
  2. Teach around each individual child's needs and developmental level
  3. Provide a variety of materials and experiences that encourage children to be creative, problem solve, and experiment
  4. Rotate center materials and learning toys monthly
  5. Plan weekly activities, projects, and lessons in Math, Language, Science, Social Studies, and any other required areas
  6. Have weekly lesson plans completed on time; turned into the Program Supervisor every Thursday
  7. Make sure your daily schedule is balanced and includes indoor/outdoor activities, quiet and active activities, fine and gross motor activities
  8. Be flexible about changing the classroom schedule around the needs of the children
  9. Assessments will be done 2 times per year. Please make sure these are done on time.
  10. Be sure to know where every child is academically, socially, and emotionally
  11. Make a portfolio of each child's works, accomplishments, and documentation. Add at least 1-2 projects/pages per month to each child's portfolio
  12. Provide plenty of structured activities as well as free choice activities
  13. Get down at the children's level
  14. Have an emergency contact sheet for all the children in your Go-Bag. This will be provided by the office.
  15. Be able to work with children in large, small, and individual groups

Requirements:

  • Must have one of the following educational requirements: 30 Hour STARS Training Course, PACE Program, AA in Early Childhood Education or related field, BA/MA in Early Childhood Education or related field
  • Must meet federal and state requirements and maintain credentials for the position.
  • Complete 10 Hrs. of STARS training per year
  • Must have classroom experience as a lead teacher in a school, kindergarten, preschool, or toddler program
