We are seeking a skilled Patient Care Assistant to join our Float Pool team at Scripps Memorial Hospital Encinitas. As a key member of our clinical care team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to patients with personal needs and activities of daily living.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal needs and activities of daily living, ensuring a safe and organized environment
- Collect data and provide support to patients within the scope permitted and under the direction of a clinician
- Support the unit with patient logistics, clerical, equipment/supply, and charge reconciliation duties
- Work in a float pool environment, gaining exposure to up to 7 different departments and patient populations
- One year of recent experience working under the license of a licensed healthcare provider
- Current enrollment or completion of Nursing Assistant training from a recognized school
- Current enrollment in an RN program with completion of the second semester, including nursing fundamentals
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a service aptitude
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care provider
- One (1) year of acute care experience
- Multiple patient care skills
- C.N.A. Certification
