Job Overview

Are you skilled in machine setup and keen on job specifications? We are seeking a NC Operator to join our esteemed manufacturing team. If you have:

  • The capability to interpret job specifications for machine adjustments, material needs, quantities, and job sequences.
  • The proficiency to manually configure tools and punches as indicated by setup documentation.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent education.

We offer a competitive starting wage of $25.45, with potential for growth in both position and compensation. Our work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional mandatory Saturdays.

This position is for the 3rd shift (10:00 PM - 6:00 AM), with an additional shift premium of $1.00 per hour.

Your total hourly compensation would be $26.45.

As an NC Operator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Interpreting job specifications to ascertain machine adjustments, material requirements, quantities, and job sequences.
  • Manually configuring tools and punches as outlined in setup sheets.
  • Monitoring machine operations to identify workpiece defects or machine issues.
  • Measuring workpiece dimensions using rulers, templates, calipers, squares, tape measures, and micrometers to ensure precision.
  • Engaging programs to initiate cutting or punching processes. Manually positioning materials onto machines and interpreting blueprints and job orders for product specifications.
  • Executing CNC programming for machine setup, including modifications and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining tools in optimal condition, including assembly, sharpening, and thorough visual inspections.
  • Inspecting workpieces prior to use to eliminate defects and post-use to guarantee quality.
  • Performing minor machine maintenance tasks such as lubrication of machines, dies, or workpieces.
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned.

Additional Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations in various units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Capability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other lifting equipment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs; capable of walking, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Specific vision abilities required for this role include color vision and peripheral vision.
  • Manual dexterity for the use of various tools.
