Job Title: Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. As a Mobile Diesel Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty trucks, ensuring they are in good working condition and meet safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, including AC, electrical systems, and advanced skilled level repairs
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Communicate effectively with customers to discuss repair estimates and provide updates on repair status
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance tasks performed
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or Technical Certification Post Secondary degree or Technical Certifications, preferred
  • Basic tools required
  • Requires demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
  • Three (3) years or more relevant work experience, preferred
  • NonCommercial Driver License CLASS E, preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A, preferred
