Job Title: Diesel Mechanic Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Fort Myers, Florida. As a key member of our mobile maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake and tire work, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, electrical systems, and other components
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance tasks
  • Interact with customers to facilitate preventative maintenance, repair issue resolution, and discuss new repair estimates
  • Coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks to meet customer needs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Vocational or technical certification in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred
  • Three years or more relevant work experience in diesel mechanics or a related field preferred
  • Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B preferred
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
