Job Summary:

The Cremeria Clerk plays a vital role in supporting the Cremeria Department by providing exceptional customer service and adhering to safe food handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure cremeria products are sliced and available for customers.
  • Accurately price products and maintain a high level of product quality, protection, accuracy, and rotation in coolers.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation requirements.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Keep cremeria displays clean and presentable, and store cleaning supplies properly.
  • Effectively advertise department products and promote sales.
  • Receive, unload, stock, fill, and rotate merchandise to meet customer demands.
  • Verify cases, coolers, and refrigerators temperatures to ensure product quality and safety.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
  • 1+ years of experience in a meat department or related retail environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, and use the hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Successful performance requires vision abilities that include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The work environment is that typical of an office and retail store. The noise level ranges from quiet to loud.
  • Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Walk and work in Freezer and Refrigerator Cooler as needed throughout the day.
