Drive revenue growth and expand Carta's presence in the venture capital and private equity markets as an Enterprise Account Executive. You will leverage your sales expertise to introduce top-tier clients to our comprehensive fund administration platform, encompassing custodial services, portfolio management, reporting, analytics, investor management, and data collection.

The Role

  • You will communicate the business impact of our product offerings to key decision-makers.
  • You will influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus-building to identify and sell new opportunities.
  • You will own sales cycles that are 12-18 months long.
  • You will understand customer needs and requirements and act as a trusted business advisor.
  • You will drive revenue through strategic outbound prospecting.
  • You will own the entire sales lifecycle, from lead generation to close.
  • You will develop a comprehensive sales strategy and sales plan to ensure consistent achievement of goals over the short and long-term.

The Team

We're looking for talented Enterprise Account Executives to join our Fund Administration Upmarket team. Our customers are primarily venture capital firms, angel investors, family offices, funds of funds, and private equity firms. Carta's platform allows these clients to track and manage their portfolios while liaising with their investors.

You will work closely with new venture capital funds as they navigate the process of forming a new fund, advising them on best practices and referring them to additional vendors, such as fund formation lawyers and tax professionals.

About You

  • You have a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • You have 10+ years of account executive experience; enterprise sales experience is a plus.
  • You have relevant sales experience, preferably in a SaaS or financial services organization.
  • You have experience managing a pipeline and closing large contracts.
  • You have a proven ability to execute, especially negotiation and closing.
  • You are intellectually curious, a fast learner.
  • You are articulate, poised, and concise.
  • You are flexible and resilient.
  • You are competitive and driven to achieve goals.

Nice-to-Haves

  • You have experience in venture capital, private equity, institutional investing, or wealth management.

Compensation Package

We offer a market-competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions plans. Our estimated minimum cash compensation (salary + commission if applicable) range for this role is:

  • $325,000 OTE in SF and NY
  • $317,150 OTE in Seattle
