Job Summary

The Clinical Medicine Specialist will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care on our 27-bed EP 7-5 unit. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients with acute and chronic kidney diseases, including peritoneal dialysis.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care: Assess patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based practices to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team: Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy environment: Follow infection control protocols, maintain accurate records, and report concerns or incidents promptly.
  • Participate in professional development: Engage in ongoing education, training, and mentoring to stay current with best practices and advance your skills.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives: Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance patient care and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Connecticut.
  • BSN degree preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Experience in nephrology or related field highly desirable.
