USADA's Doping Control Officer Role

We are seeking a dedicated and driven individual to help our organization fulfill its mission to champion clean sport, inspire true and healthy sport, and promote the integrity of sport. This is an exciting time to join Team USADA, as we continue to grow our Anti-Doping program and work to support major international competitions.

The primary objective of this role is to conduct Doping Control throughout the United States, under direction of the Doping Control Operations team, for Olympic/Paralympic, and Client Services testing teams in support of USADAs mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sample collection sessions in support of the testing programs for the Olympic/Paralympic, and Client Services.
  • Accept, plan and manage doping control assignments, in accordance with the minimum requirements of the ISTI, and any minimum criteria established by USADA.
  • Execute logistics aspects as they relate to the doping control process to facilitate successful completion of missions.
  • Recruit and deliver training to notifying and witnessing Chaperones under instruction of the Doping Control Operations team.
  • Witness sample collection or overseeing the witnessing of the sample collection process.
  • Travel to various locations to perform sample collections.
  • Ensure accurate documentation/completion of the doping control process.
  • Ship and submit processed Samples to the specified WADA certified laboratory.
  • Assist in the recruitment and training of Doping Control Officer candidates identified by USADA.
  • Participate in DCO evaluation and support program, continuing education and re-accreditation.
  • Collect Samples on behalf of other agencies when requested by USADA.
  • Schedule and manage all travel, as well as associated expense reports.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated high proficiency in utilizing technology such as tablets, multiple software platforms, and various applications.

Compensation: $50-$200 per athlete, based on a per testing basis.
