Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Hospice of Michigan.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires providing high-quality patient care to individuals and their families. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing patients' physical, functional, psychosocial, and environmental needs, and developing individualized plans of care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients and their families/caregivers to determine hospice needs.
  • Develop, implement, evaluate, and update individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide end-of-life care, including comfort care and symptom management, according to NorthStar Care Community indicators.
  • Support and educate patients and their families/caregivers on disease processes, self-care techniques, end-of-life care, and ethical concerns.
  • Coordinate ordering durable medical equipment and supplies.
  • Participate in quality assurance processes, internal/external education/training, marketing, and other activities promoting the organization's mission.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with possession of a current license to practice as a registered professional nurse in the State of Michigan.
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of varied nursing experience required; hospice experience and CHPN preferred.
  • Ability to use technology (hardware and software) required of clinicians in their practice.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, sound judgment, effective organizational, prioritization, and follow-through skills, attention to detail, tact, dependability, emotional intelligence, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
