Job Description

Overview

Seldovia Village Tribe IRA is seeking a skilled Integrative Medicine Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive, integrative, and holistic health services to our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct primary clinical health, wellness, and preventive care to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that incorporate both primary family healthcare and a holistic integrative model of care
  • Participate in counseling and treatment of chronic and infectious disease patients
  • Coordinate and conduct group medical visits, individual and group health and wellness education and promotion activities
  • Function as a patient advocate and coordinate patient care with other healthcare providers

Requirements

  • Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) or Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  • Board certification in Family Medicine
  • Unrestricted DEA certification
  • State of Alaska medical license
  • 4+ years of experience in primary care, preferably in an integrative or holistic clinical environment

Travel Requirements

Candidate should expect occasional travel to Anchor Point or Seldovia. All travel is subject to weather and may result in overnights.

Employment Requirements

  • Must successfully pass a criminal background check and FBI fingerprinting
  • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
  • Must successfully complete all credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Must be able to sign a three-year employment contract

Work Environment

Seldovia Village Tribe IRA is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and tobacco-free work environment. An individual in this position may be exposed to communicable diseases or hazards common to a healthcare setting.
