Key Responsibilities- Customer Service: Greet and assist all customers in a polite and professional manner, providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive shopping experience.
- Cash Handling: Operate the cash register, accurately process transactions, and maintain a high level of cash handling accuracy.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, stockroom, and display windows.
- Donation Handling: Sort and price donated items, ensuring that they are accurately priced and displayed for sale.
- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals, maintain a positive work atmosphere, and support the mission of The Salvation Army.
- High School Diploma/GED: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Possess excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
- Teamwork: Must be a team player, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive work atmosphere.
This is a part-time regular position, with a competitive hourly rate of $13.00-$14.00 per hour. The Salvation Army is an equal opportunity employer, committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
