Job Summary:

As a Heavy Equipment Technician at Parsec (OH), you will be responsible for conducting routine and scheduled maintenance on railroad leased and owned containers and chassis. This includes repairing equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer, and FMCSA guidelines. You will also be responsible for documenting repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing. Additionally, you will perform light welding when required and other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine and scheduled maintenance on railroad leased and owned containers and chassis
  • Repair equipment in accordance with railroad, IEP, manufacturer, and FMCSA guidelines
  • Document repairs according to an established reporting system, verbally and in writing
  • Perform light welding when required
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements:

  • Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs
  • Open availability (24/7/365)
  • Applicants must be available to work holidays that fall on your rotation
  • Willingness to work in varying weather conditions
  • Must have own hand tools
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Must be willing to complete a drug screen, physical, and background check
