Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimator III to join our team at Martin Marietta. As an Estimator III, you will be responsible for accurately pricing and estimating asphalt paving work, with a focus on commercial projects. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and identify new job opportunities to bid, determining bonding, licensing, and permitting requirements.
  • Solicit proposals from subcontractors and manage them throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Create and deliver project estimates, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractor pricing.
  • Review contract documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Procure and manage subcontractors and materials, completing quality takeoffs and verifying supply quantities.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, subcontractors, and onsite personnel.
  • Oversee daily tracking requirements, including reporting, cost accounting, and forecasting.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of relevant experience, with a focus on commercial projects.
  • Project management and field supervisory experience.
  • Thorough understanding of asphalt paving, sub-grade, and related subcontractor operations.
