Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team at US Engine Valve. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems. Your expertise will be instrumental in improving manufacturing support and maintenance programs, developing process specifications, and driving capital projects from strategic planning to implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems
  • Improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs through training and technical support
  • Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and plans for scrap reduction and uptime improvements
  • Drive capital projects from strategic planning to implementation
  • Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance
  • Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements
  • Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs
  • Consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement programs
  • Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs
  • Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes
  • Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required
  • Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical design
  • Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning
  • Mentor and develop maintenance personnel
  • Assist other plants/facilities with technical problems
  • Capable of self-managing assigned project tasks
