About the Role

The Mental Health Association is seeking a skilled Prevention Specialist to join our team for the New Jersey Statewide Student Support Services (NJ4S) Hub program. This exciting opportunity will allow you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of students and families in Morris and Sussex Counties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with consultants, school districts, and community service providers to deliver training, workshops, and webinars.
  • Maintain program documentation and assist in data collection, reporting, and continuous quality improvement processes.
  • Implement evidence-based prevention services and curricula with fidelity to students, faculty, and families.
  • Train students and school faculty on identifying mental health concerns and risk factors.
  • Participate in Department of Children and Families NJ4S related trainings and meetings.
  • Foster relationships with community partners and emergency mental health providers.
  • Support and strengthen collaborative relationships with stakeholders.
  • Participate in supervision and staff meetings to promote professional development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least three years' experience in prevention-related programs, non-profit social services, or community-based services.
  • Experience in implementing evidence-based practice models and training materials.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer literacy with data entry, electronic medical records, and Microsoft Office.
