The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide nursing care to residents as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards of nursing practice and regulations. The RN will work closely with the Director of Nursing and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and excellent patient outcomes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Obtain Changes in Physician's Orders: The RN will obtain changes in physician's orders as indicated by the resident's progress or lack of progress.
- Communicate Resident Information: The RN will communicate pertinent information about the resident's condition and progress to charge nurses, supervisors, and the Director of Nursing, as indicated.
- Maintain Clean and Organized Treatment Cart: The RN will maintain a clean and organized treatment cart and restock treatment supplies as needed.
- Follow Infection Control Policies: The RN will follow Infection Control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: The RN will administer medications and treatments accurately as ordered by the physician and according to all facility policies and procedures.
- Document Pressure Sore Status: The RN will document pressure sore status weekly or more often as the condition changes.
- Assist with Inventory Management: The RN will assist in monitoring the inventory of medications, medical supplies, and equipment to ensure adequate supplies are available to meet the needs of residents.
- Participate in Educational Programs: The RN will participate in educational programs for residents and their family members relative to skin care when a resident is being discharged to home.
- Participate in Quality Improvement Activities: The RN will participate in Quality Improvement activities, as assigned.
- Registered Nurse Current State License in Florida: The RN must hold a current state license in Florida.
- One Year Related Nursing Experience: The RN should have one year of related nursing experience.
- Current/Active CPR Certification: The RN must have a current/active CPR certification.
- Excellent Technical, Assessment, and Documentation Skills: The RN must possess excellent technical, assessment, and documentation skills.
- Effective Verbal and Written English Communication Skills: The RN must have effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Highest Level of Professionalism: The RN must demonstrate the highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to Communicate at All Levels: The RN must be able to communicate at all levels of the organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives.
- Customer Service Orientation: The RN must have a customer service orientation with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Strong Attention to Detail and Accuracy: The RN must have strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high quality and productivity.
- Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: The RN must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to Work with Minimal Supervision: The RN must be able to work with minimal supervision, take initiative, and make independent decisions.
