Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner to join our team at AdventHealth Daytona Beach. As a key member of our cardiovascular services team, you will provide exceptional patient care and work collaboratively with our medical staff to deliver high-quality patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provides care under the direction of supervising cardiovascular surgeons and has expertise in the clinical management of cardiac surgical patients.
  • Assesses and manages cardiac patients, including diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, day-to-day implementation and evaluation of the appropriate plan of care.
  • Assists CV surgeons with rounds, creation of orders, ordering and monitoring of tests, and assessment and evaluation at the bedside.
  • Works in collaboration with medical, nursing, and support services to provide patient- and family-focused care.
  • Maintains active participation in PI activities, STS Registry data collection, staff development, and continuing education.
Requirements
  • Current Florida Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License
  • ACLS/BLS certification
  • Minimum of 3 years ARNP experience in cardiovascular services
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Past teaching experience in formal or informal settings
