The Critical Care Nurse will be responsible for managing the nursing care of critically ill patients in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care needs.
- Carry out physician orders and administer prescribed medications.
- Monitor vital signs, provide respiratory and ventilator management, and clean wounds.
- Serve as the primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
- Instruct and educate patients and families.
- Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs.
- Provide age and culturally appropriate care.
- Orient and mentor new staff members.
- Follow Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care ICU RN experience.
- Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN required.
- Current State of Florida license for Registered Nurse or appropriate compact licensure.
- BLS required.
- ACLS required.
- CCRN preferred.
