The Sales Route Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing revenue by delivering exceptional customer service and promoting additional displays of products.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all assigned accounts focusing on sales volume, market presence, product availability, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide outstanding service to designated accounts, fostering positive relationships with all clients.
- Identify growth opportunities aligned with the goals and strategies of assigned clients.
- Process customer orders and execute deliveries using a handheld device.
- Reconcile daily paperwork, including financial transactions and invoices, to ensure precise tracking of delivery activities.
- Maintain a route book and related documentation to supply management with sales data for products and accounts.
- Utilize point-of-purchase (POS) materials to drive sales.
- Comply with all company and legal guidelines regarding collection policies to safeguard company interests.
- Organize product displays, enhance shelf visibility, clean shelving, and rotate stock.
- Safely operate and unload the delivery vehicle, transporting products to designated locations.
- Drive vehicles under 26,000 lbs. GVW while maintaining a clean driving record.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Additional Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree and five years of relevant experience or equivalent education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities.
- Must be 21 years or older.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to provide all DOT-regulated documentation when necessary, including a DOT medical card.
Physical Requirements
Physical demands include frequent sitting and operating a motor vehicle, as well as considerable time spent walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping. Ability to load and unload up to 65-pound boxes of product and navigate through customer store aisles.
This position is classified as safety-sensitive. A conditional offer of employment will require passing a drug test, including a marijuana test.
