We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursing Home Administrator to join our team at Quality Talent Group. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our facility, ensuring the highest level of care and services for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
- Oversee all departments and department heads, including nursing, maintenance, rehab, social work, and dining services
- Assure the financial stability of the facility through budgeting, staffing, and strategic planning
- Be responsible for the overall operation of the facility, including general supervision, hiring, and employee termination
- Ensure the integration of services with community health resources
- Develop and implement an interdisciplinary approach to resident care
- Initiate programs and policies between departments
- Approve job descriptions for all staff
- Conduct department head meetings, QAPI meetings, safety meetings, and other required committee meetings
- Be readily accessible to staff and residents for consultation
- Involve resident council in addressing resident and staff interests and needs
- Encourage professional and respectful behavior among staff towards residents
- Assure prompt handling of resident complaints and recommendations
- Analyze new equipment and work processes for safety and PPE use
- Provide training in safe work procedures and supervise employees for safety and health performance
- Report and analyze accidents and near-accidents, and take steps to prevent future occurrences
- Ensure excellent outcomes and minimum deficiencies for NYS and federal surveys and inspections
- Work with the DON and Infection Preventionist to manage and control infection control practices
- Adhere to all state and federal regulations
- Review admissions to ensure facility can meet level of care requirements
- NYS Nursing Home Administrator License, Active & in Good-Standing
- Pleasant personality and ability to work with residents, families, and staff from various departments
- Working knowledge of resident care processes
- Must maintain a professional appearance representing the facility, community relations, and community outreach
- Pertinent Federal, State, and local laws, codes, and regulations regarding healthcare
- May be required to stay at or return to work during public health incidents and/or emergencies
- Bachelor's degree in any healthcare-related field or equivalent experience in a Long-Term Care facility
- Shall meet all requirements and conditions set forth by the New York State Department of Health, Board of Nursing Home Licensure
- Minimum of three to five years experience in the areas of long-term care
