JOB DESCRIPTION

Equinox is hosting a recruitment event for our newest club opening soon in Culver City. This location combines a legendary past with a promising future, situated in a revitalized historic site.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the club and exercise equipment while delivering exceptional customer service to all members and guests.
  • Ensure the sidewalk entrance and lobby are welcoming and presentable.
  • Thoroughly clean the locker room and replenish all consumables.
  • Organize and maintain storage, laundry, exercise, and coat rooms.
  • Ensure an adequate supply of towels is available on the exercise floor.
  • Perform maintenance on all equipment as needed.
  • Utilize janitorial equipment efficiently and appropriately.
  • Receive and properly store all deliveries.
  • Assist with special events as required.
  • Alert the Maintenance Manager regarding any rooms or equipment needing immediate attention.
  • Provide each member and potential member with top-quality customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in janitorial or a related field.
  • High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Must have a clear understanding of cleanliness and sanitation standards.
  • Prior experience in cleaning and laundry services is highly desirable.
  • Ability to service athletic equipment, along with experience using cleaning products and hand tools.
  • Strong customer service, organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, willingly taking on additional tasks with a positive attitude.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions and established procedures.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be capable of performing all essential physical aspects of the position, which may include standing, sitting, running, walking, jumping, squatting, bending, and reaching, as well as pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs at a time.
