Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the operation of the central boiler facility, including the initiation and cessation of boiler functions, maintenance of associated equipment, troubleshooting, repair, and inspection, ensuring efficient steam production.
- Maintain accurate records of operations and conditions; analyze data to rectify inefficiencies; oversee water treatment; monitor warranties; test operational capabilities; conduct periodic inspections of idle equipment; perform touch-up painting; and ensure the cleanliness, preservation, lubrication, and adjustment of all plant machinery.
- Guarantee the continuous and optimal functioning of mechanical systems through routine inspections and maintenance, monitoring metering devices, and making necessary adjustments.
- Schedule regular inspections, cleanings, and filter replacements to maintain system integrity; identify and rectify or replace any malfunctioning components.
- Prioritize safety by monitoring safety equipment, recognizing potential hazards, and taking appropriate measures to halt operations and address issues.
Qualifications:
- Must possess the necessary training and qualifications to execute the duties outlined in this job description and hold the appropriate boiler license as per the Department of Labor and Industry regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of boiler systems, plumbing, electrical systems, pipefitting, and machine operations.
- Familiarity with boiler codes and safety protocols.
- Ability to understand and compile relevant technical documentation.
